About
Our History
In the summer of 2024 Lisa Staires and Janae Jordan gathered to pray and plan for what is now the Bulldog Bible Club. Our first year started in September of 2024. We hosted kids from Skiatook Public Schools in the kindergarten, first grade, and T2 classes that opted in to join us after school on Tuesdays. We walked across the street to the Methodist Church and enjoyed an hour and a half together eating snacks, worshiping Jesus, making crafts, learning Scripture verses, playing games, and much more! We were so blessed to have leaders in the Bible Club representing five different local churches. For our first year we had 24 kids registered to join us.
For the second year of Bible Club we were excited to expand not only in the grades of kids who could attend, but also in the number of churches actively involved in the weekly gatherings. During the 2025-2026 school year we hosted three different locations of the Bulldog Bible Club. The Methodist Church continued to host the kindergarten, first and T2 grades while Riveted Church hosted second and third grades, and First Baptist Church hosted fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. We now had a bus route to gather kids from their schools and take them safely to Bible Club. Because of this expansion we had 145 kids registered for the Bulldog Bible Club! We partnered that year with 58 leaders who represented nine different churches in Skiatook.
We are excited to announce more growth for our third year of Bible Club for 2026-2027: Immanuel Baptist Church will now host Bible Club for our first grade class. Our youngest Bible Club had such high attendance each week that it became necessary to expand.
We strive for excellence and unity in all we do as we stand firm on the four pillars of the Bulldog Bible Club: Bible telling, Scripture memory, Prayer, and Worship. We believe kids can engage with God in a fun and meaningful way in each of these areas. We are hopeful for where God is leading this ministry!
All for God’s glory,
Lisa Staires, Janae Jordan
